Hello, my name is Leigh Ann Falconer and I have been a Bark Busters trainer since 2007. Growing up, my family always had dogs (mainly Dachshunds and Labrador Retrievers), but I never dreamed I would someday have the privilege of training dogs and their owners for a living. My first dog of my own was a white German Shepherd named Belle. Belle was aggressive to other dogs on and off leash, and it was very difficult to walk her in my neighborhood. I took Belle to training with me in Denver when she was eleven years old and I was amazed at how effective and kind the Bark Busters techniques were. Bark Busters taught me how to be the leader that Belle needed me to be. Within a couple of weeks, Belle was actually playing with other dogs, something I’d never thought possible! When we came home we were able to add several other dogs to our ‘pack’ and Belle lived her last three years as a much happier dog. I am very involved in the rescue community in South Georgia and North Florida and currently have six rescues of my own: Grace (Doberman Pinscher), Toby (Pit Bull Terrier), Ginger (Mix), Henry (Dachshund Mix), Mia (Chihuahua Mix) and Foozie (Chihuahua). I live in Thomasville with my husband and two teenagers. In addition to our dogs, we also have three horses. I have a B.A. from Trinity University and a Masters in Public Administration from Texas A&M University. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and an associate member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. I am also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Therapy Dog International Evaluator. I am so fortunate to have been taught the best method of dog training and canine communication in the world. It is based on how dogs view us, each other and the world around them and how they interact with all of those things. I teach owners how to effectively communicate with their dogs to improve behavioral problems. But, whether your dog has behavior problems or just needs to learn basic obedience, I can help!
Jumping up, pulling on the lead, biting, mouthing, nipping, inappropriate toileting, aggression towards dogs, food aggression.
Our customised puppy management program includes fast track housebreaking and toilet training, general obedience, walking to heel, sit / stay.
Full obedience training for dogs of all ages and breeds; sit, down, stay, loose lead walking, attentiveness, distance control and recall training.
