Growing up I always knew that I wanted animals to be a part of my life. I had two family dogs that helped raise me, almost as much as my parents. After moving to Tallahassee, I adopted an American Staffordshire Terrier, Nax, who was leash reactive towards people and dogs. I sought out the expertise of one of my friends and a Bark Busters trainer. She showed me how to properly communicate with my dog and he is now a great canine companion at home, and when out and about!
As a Bark Busters client myself, after seeing the amazing things that we were able to accomplish with my own dog, I knew that I needed to help people accomplish the same with their dogs. I worked in the Veterinary Medicine field for several years, but hung up that hat to return to the area where my heart and soul lay…dog training!
I currently have 4 dogs and 2 cats, and also foster dogs for the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. I am very active in the local dog sport community and compete with my canine companions in agility, dock diving, barn hunt, lure coursing, trick dog, and conformation. I am always looking for new ways to be out and about with my furry friends.
